Short biography
Elio Y. Haddad is a sculptor based in Beirut, shaped by a life lived between Lebanon and Brazil. His series Emotional Dissonance (2024–2026) is thirty unique sculptures in stainless steel and recycled granite about relationships, trust, power and belief. He is also a certified NLP practitioner and hypnotherapist.
Long biography
Elio Y. Haddad is a sculptor based in Beirut. His practice spans sculpture, installation, photography, painting and writing, and is shaped by a life lived between Lebanon and Brazil, where he spent 27 years. He studied graphic and industrial design at Faculdade da Cidade, Rio de Janeiro, and sculpture at Atelier Fleuri Menezes, with further study at Escola de Artes Visuais and Centro de Artes Calouste Gulbenkian. Public installations include Congratulations & Condolences in the garden of the Sursock Palace, Gemmayzeh (2019), and a permanent work at Bossa Nova Hotel, Beirut, as well as AQUA in Rio de Janeiro and the video installation Phoenician at Zico House (2024). His series Emotional Dissonance (2024–2026) comprises thirty unique sculptures in stainless steel and recycled granite, chosen for their resistance and permanence. He is a certified NLP practitioner and certified hypnotherapist. Three words govern the studio: simple, accurate, deep.
